Show jumping was the feature event at the recent Yalambi Farm Classic held in beautiful surrounds in the Margaret River wine region last weekend.
Over 400 horses competed over three days, culminating in the Grand Prix on Saturday afternoon, where riders were put to the test over the 1.60m international course.
Zagro sponsored riders also attended with success in the 95cm Open Class, taking second place in a field of 79 riders.
Rider Celia Lecumberri Salazar was delighted with her ride on Casanova and she said: “Casanova is still inexperienced but today he was so relaxed and jumped everything as I hoped. He was lovely to ride and I am super happy with his attitude at such a big show.”
Celia has competed all over Europe, Mexico and South Africa jumping at Grand Prix level. She also rode Ego Pacifico in the 1.05 Open Class and was only just a few seconds away from placing in that class of nearly 80 riders.
“This is such a great show and the courses are well built, it was a lot of fun and really exciting to ride here,” she said. “We will be back again for the next one for sure, Yalambi have done a fantastic job.”
The horses were treated with the best supplements supplied by Zagro included Nilstress for electrolyte replacement and Amilyte amino acids and vitamin supplement.
Celia commented: “The horses had a lot to deal with over the weekend. It’s a big exercise for them to travel for many hours, then be in small yard for three days in a noisy and different environment.
Having good quality supplements is critical and Zagro make a great range for horses, I really like them.”
