Zatox consists of a combination of organic acid and toxin binder. This combination prevents mold growth while eliminating mycotoxin through adsorption.

Indications
Mycotoxin contamination increases production losses, even when mold is not readily visible. Molds grow and propagate deriving energy from the feed’s protein, fat and carbohydrate. Dietary fat in particular is reduced in mold infected feeds.
Moldy feeds are less palatable and reduces dry matter intake. Reduced feed intake leads to a reduction of nutrient intake, which lead to decrease in animal performance.
Moldy feeds may cause health problems. Feeding moldy feeds is associated with increased problems with mycotic abortions in cattles and respiratory and gastrointestinal tract diseases in poultry and swine.
Propionic acid inhibits the growth of most molds including major mycotoxin producing species such as Aspergillus sp and Fusarium sp. On the other hand, Hydrated Sodium Calcium Aluminosilicate binds mycotoxins such as aflatoxin, zearolenone and other microbial toxins in feeds by adsorption. The combination of Calcium propionate and Hydrated Sodium Calcium Aluminosilicate makes Zatox an effective feed protection additive by acting as an effective mold inhibitor with a toxin binding effect.
