Haltox is a unique blend of antioxidants comprising BHT (Butylated Hydroxytoluene), BHA (Butylated Hydroxyanisol) and Ethoxyquin, to give a far broader spectrum of activity than single oxidants, thereby providing effective protection from oxidation spoilage.
Why choose a combination antioxidant?
Different feedstuffs and fats require different antioxidant protection. Therefore, you should always choose a mixed antioxidant like Haltox which has a few different ingredients to provide the broadest possible spectrum of activity.
Counter the harmful effects of oxidation with Haltox...
Oxidation is the single most important chemical factor that determines “off-flavour” and overall freshness of feeds. Haltox controls the oxidation of fats, oils and other unstable substrates occuring in feeds and feed ingredients. By controlling oxidation:
Haltox helps preserves...
- the flavor & quality of fats added to feed or present in the feed ingredients
- xanthophylls, the carotenoids used as pigmentation
- carotene, vitamin A and vitamin E
- the potency of fat-soluble vitamins
- the nutritive value of feeds
- the palatability of feeds
